How is the USMC different from the Army? What makes them different?
I have always had my eyes set on joining the USMC because of their image(no joke, i promise that half of the marines in USMC joined for the dress blues). Plus i wanted the title United States Marine, but the only problem is that i also want to jump out of planes, and USMC does NOT have airborne school, which the Army does, but i still rather go to the USMC because of what i said before. I also hear people say the USMC is different, how is it different? Good different or bad different?
The Army and Marine Corps are similar in a lot of ways (especially infantry) BUT there are also a lot of differences. From what I’ve personally seen, there’s a little less discipline in the Army when compared to Marines. This isn’t always true, but generally it is. Deployment lengths are usually longer in the Army. Marine infantry units typically deploy for about 7 months. There’s a lot of differences, and I’m not going to go through them all. But the choice is yours. Do you want to jump out of a plane every once in a while, or do you want to be a Marine?
