What do you think? Revolver with a folding barrel.?

Ok I know this sounds stupid but it could be possible. See I love .38spl snubbie because you can just throw it into your pocket. No lint problems or any other goofy stuff. But the performance decreases with the barrel being short. What is there was a small revolver(not a .357mag) with a 4 in. barrel that could fold down when you was ready to throw it into your pocket. If you run into a bad guy simply pop the other half of the barrel back up and you are ready. Now there would have to be a switch to hold the barrel in place during recoil. What do you think?
And it could shoot with the other half up or down. So you can have a snubbie and a 4in. barrel revolver at once. Look at the Chippa Rhino .357snubbie, when it shoots your hand comes back not up. Look at the Taurus Jugde or the Ruger LCR. This is just an idea to get the ball rolling around with revolvers.

I think that the barrel could be made, but the latching mechanism would be so bulky and heavy that it will never be.
