How long does it take to enter into Special Forces?
My boyfriend is turning 18 in June. He wants so bad to enter into the Special Forces. He hasn’t told me much about it, like the details. All he said was he would be gone for 2 years & the whole time he was gone I wouldn’t get to talk to him at all. Is this really true? I know he wouldn’t lie to me, but it seems unlikely that it would be 2 years before I could talk to him again.
I trust him. I was just curious.
I am an Army veteran and I would not recommend anyone join the military for any reason. That being said, I don’t believe you can just join the Special Forces. I am pretty sure you have to be invited. In the Army, Rangers are probably the easiest SF to get into. To be considered you need to have a high PT score. You have to score high on all tests. Finally you have to demonstrate leadership skills such graduating from PLDC. I was invited to attend a 2 week Pre-Ranger School in Ft. Lewis but I opted to work over the summer instead.
