When buying an infra-red filter for my DSLR, which wavelength version (750nm-950nm) should I get?
Filters can block wavelengths from below 750nm, 850nm or 950nm. What would the different effects be between these three filters? Thanks
You do know that you are going to have some issues attempting to shoot IR using a DSLR, right?
* what are you going to do about the IR cutoff filter that covers your cameras sensor to remove most of the IR that reaches the sensor?
* how do you plan on focusing the lens with an opaque filter over the lens?
* does the lens you have, have an IR index mark on it so you can refocus the image to assure that the IR image is in focus?
