What would be a good cleaning fish for my decorations?
I have four fry goldfish. Common, but long tail fins (Incase you wanted to know that last part) I have a 20g tank at moment, but Im getting them a larger tank as soon as they are large enough that I can see their color. I have all the basics for them. Before you tell me all that stuff, that I already read.
However, I want to know what would be a good fish for detailing the decorations. I know I can (and do) clean them myself, but it would be nice to have the finer details… well detailed. What would you rec-amend for a algae eater with goldfish?
I had a Plecostomos before, had him for 7 yrs with goldfish in a 100g tank, before the tank broke and I had to give him and the 7 goldfish away (Miss you Mr. Clean, Tele, Flashlight, Midnight, Klepto, Helen, Bella, and of course Flower). But I was told they should not be with goldfish. . . >.< So what should I get, since I still want one to detail my tank?

as for a cleaning fish, nothing is going to come close as you cleaning the decor and tank yourself, you could have 20 pleco and still have a dirty tank, if anything any fish u add will make it dirtier. I have 2 pleco they try to clean but still are no match, i just cleaned all my decor, whipe it with a sponge in hot water (no chemicals), clean the sides of the tank and filter, and do 20% water changes bi-weekly to help fight off algae and waste build ups.
You can get pleco with goldfish its fine, they are fine but its for ppl who dont clean their tank the fish could easily get ICH, i have my 2 with goldfish and when all mixed together they had ich but its all gone now, they are still tough. And temperature wise they are ok in 68-75 water. You could do Cory’s they stay small, or another pleco but reallyy cleaning urself is best
