I have a pair of Sigmund Ruud ski sticks/poles. How could I establish their era and value?
Wooden poles with aluminium ‘rings’ and spikes. Leather handles with what looks like hand-stitching. Leather ‘cross-over’ bits on aluminium rings.
From your description, they seem to be pre WW2 era. Definitely pre 1955. I’ve not heard of the brand so I am guessing. The WW2 military poles were similar but had adjustable metal shafts with a basket about 5 inches in diameter. As to value, it’s whatever the traffic will bare. Hope this helps.
