LED Night Lights Are Becoming Quite Popular

Here is a great quote. “We will make electricity so cheap, that only the rich shall choose to burn candles.” That is from the famous scientist and American inventor, Thomas Edison. It now seems that Thomas Edison could have added “predicting the future” to his list of abilities and skills. Electricity and light bulbs has become a mainstay of our modern society, but it would seem that there has been further refinement of the basic range of electric light bulbs: LED night lights.

The main criticism and fault of incandescent light bulbs is that they have a very limited lifespan, are liable to blow a fuse, and are grossly inefficient. This presented a major problem both in terms of productivity as well as cost. Perhaps one of the most frustrating and irksome flaws of incandescent light bulbs is their nasty habit of simply expiring without warning; meaning that if a spare is not handy, we are left in darkness.

None of the issues that have been mentioned thus far exist with LED night lights, and they have been widely praised by industrialists and consumers alike. A clear indication is given when a LED light is failing, as they will lose brightness gradually rather than just quitting.

LED night lights are much brighter than their incandescent counterparts, and better still, are able to emit the light from them much longer as well. From an economic standpoint, this quite appealing for use inside an industrial or commercial setting.

Fluorescent lighting is another form of lighting that is quickly becoming obsolete due to the development of LED lighting. These pose particular problems by virtue of the fact that they contain a very toxic substance: mercury. Therefore, if they are damaged or cracked, then they can pose a major threat. LED night lights do not contain any such harmful or hazardous solutions, thereby making them suitable even for children. There are many great night lights for kids available now, including a one of the favorites, a turtle night light.

The same fatal weakness of both fluorescent and incandescent bulbs is that they are extremely fragile things. They can be easily overpowered by virtue of a sudden flux of electricity introduced from an external source. LED night lights for kids on the other hand are much more reliable.

Ever place your hand near a fluorescent or incandescent light bulb? One of the reasons these light bulbs are so inefficient is because a major portion of their energy is converted into heat as opposed to light energy. LED night lights on the other hand are not so afflicted, and so are cool to the touch. This is a nice feature if you are getting night lights for kids. These lights today are advanced enough now to create products such as the turtle night light. This projects stars onto walls when turned on. That is just one of the many new LED lights that you can find today.
