Is Photoshop Elements II compatible with windows 7 ?
Adobe has told me they no longer support PSE II. I took a pass on PSE VI and am led to believe it incompatible due to its being designed for VISTA ? when I am using XP MCE. I do not like the new ways and unlearning involved in using a newer PSE.
I am thinking about a new computer and wonder how my old PSE II program would work w/ Windows 7 ?
Go for the new computer and try to get either PSE 6 or 7. You could get PSE 8 but given that you like PSE2, I think you will hate the print dialog that Adobe inserted into PSE 8. You will find that for the things you do with PSE2, nothing really has changed EXCEPT where you find the Unsharp Mask. Instead of located under Filters it has been moved to under Enhance. This happened, I think with PSE6. But all the other things are the same and after you start using it and exploring the rest of the program you will like it. The Organizer, introduced in PSE3, is a big departure from PSE2. Some people love it, others hate it. It can be turned off but it does have good uses and I think if you start working with it you will like it also.
