culturaly speakin why are light skinned black women/men in denial theyre mixed ?
there is this lite skinned girl in my are and she is way lighter than me and i am a mulatto, yet she denies she is mixed and say she has two black parents is she just dumb ? i no her parents are black but she is still mixed just like other lite skinned blks. she has caucasian features to so how is she not mixed yet she looks more mulatto than i do ?

Why is it so important to you how she chooses to recognize herself you seem more than a bit preoccupied even obsessed. She is correct to say she is not biracial, if both of her parents are black she is black according to the way we shamefully classify individuals. Bottom line we are all of the human race and that is the bottom line. Our diversity should be embraced and appreciated not a point of bitter discussion. I have a very dear friend both parents are biracial and very light skin toned, she however is beautiful very dark woman of color. She acknowledges herself as a black woman not biracial. That is how society would classify her, who cares we need to stop the madness and recognize individuals for their character and contributions to a more positive society.
