Any suggestions for a double, space saving guest bed that’s not an airbed?

I live in a 1 bedroomed flat and until I got my cats happily put guests up using a deluxe air bed. Unfortunately, the little monsters like to climb and pounce on everything using their claws and air beds are no longer a solution! I simply don’t have the room for a full-on sofa bed or futon and really don’t like the look of those metal fold out camp beds. Can anyone suggest a reasonably-priced, but comfortable space-saving solution?

How about sleeping bags? You can get some very nice plush ones, and they roll right up for storage. I would sure prefer that over those metal cots. We have used ours often when visiting someone, and it’s been quite comfortable. Just a thought.
