Fishing Hat
The theme of your wedding says a lot about you as a couple. While you can go with a traditional theme, finding more creative themes will be sure to make your wedding a real hit. You can make your choice based on interests the two of you share to create a lasting memory that will forever be special.
For people that love to fish, a going-fishing theme is perfect. Some of the best ideas for this type of theme are:
1. Bridesmaids can get dressed in dress of sparkling blue, to symbolize water. It would be fun for the groom to wear a fishing hat for at least one picture, although the bride and groom can wear whatever they desire. For the invitations, you can by do it yourself wedding invitation kits, or have them printed for you. For decorations, fish netting on the walls is a nice touch, as well as an ice fish sculpture placed as a focal point in the room. Using balloons, add fish stickers to them, and make them into bouquets. Be sure to remember to add fishing poles in various places around the room. Confetti that is shaped like fish is great to add to the guest’s tables.
2. Ancient Rome Wedding- These are always fun and charming, and since the Romans liked red, gold, purple, and white, these will be awesome colors to use when decorating for your wedding. Green should also be used, and ivy is something you mustn’t forget. The wedding dress should be sleeveless, floor length, and be like a toga. It should either be all white or have purple, red, or gold trim. Use a braided cord that is gold to criss cross the bodice and wrap around the waist. The ends that are tied should dangle down one hip. Ankle strap sandals in gold are a perfect finishing touch. The headpiece should be a gold laurel wreath. The groom should wear a toga, and Roman sandals. They should also wear a gold laurel wreath, and floor length cape to finish off the look. For the wedding invitations, you can use Roman postcards instead of regular invitations. For wedding favors, consider giving bottles of Caesar salad dressing, personalized bottles of red or white wine, or scented bath salts and oils. Some decorating choices could be to use sundials, birdbaths, garden benches, reflecting pools, and couches that recline. You could also serve the guests in pottery bowls and urns. For the tables you can use white linens and use fruit bowls as centerpieces. For entertainment, you can hire people like jugglers, poets, and acrobats, since these were people the Romans used to entertain themselves.
