Coleman Forced air furnace lighting question?
I’m trying to lite a coleman forced air furnace. Model # 2755A726, serial # 108828851, 70,000 btu/hr. It looks like the pilot lite location is up inside the furnace. I cant figure out how to get to that area where I need to place the match. It would take an awful long match to get it to that location. 12 inches inside maybe, or am i just not looking at it correctly? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
there’s usually an access cover plate that you can take off to get inside the burner area.
otherwise yes, you need either a long match or i always just went outside and found a tree branch long and small enough to go inside, tape a match to the end of it, when ready just light the match with another match and slide it in, push down on the knob with it at “pilot”, hold it down for about a minute until the thermocouple is hot then let go of the knob and turn it to “on”.
