Does the consumption of beans while going without a shower make the smell worse?

A friend of mine wants to go camping and there are no showers and beans are an easy kind of camping food!

Nope. I know the answer to this question from a biochemistry class I took.

Take Beano!

Beans have food components (Raffinose Family of Oligosaccharides) that humans can’t digest (we lack the enzyme a-galactasidase), but bacteria that live in your GI track can digest these components. Unfortunately they release gas when they digest these components, which makes you, well you know (the smell I think is whatever else is in your foul smelling gut at the time).

If you buy Beano and take it, supposedly it has the enzyme that lets you digest Raffinose yourself. So you get the full nutrients without the gas!
