i wanna get into hiking?
So I want to get into hiking so I’m thinking about buying either the camelbak m.u.l.e. or the camelbak alpine explorer. any opinions? also any clubs in utah to help me get started? thanks!
I would recommend focusing on a good pair of boots, whicking socks and a broad brimmed hat with some polarized sunglasses and a walking stick. The stick is for protection from snakes ETC.
Personally I carry my water in an old army canteen on my belt, along with a 44 mag and a small first aid kit. Why pay more? It just holds water.
Always get a weather report, talk to the local rangers about the area before you go and a hiking buddy is a good idea too
