Do we just buy the HID bulb light for a fog light?
I just bought 8k HID headlights. And now i am planning to do 3k for my fogs. But i do not know what to do. Do we just buy the bulb and put them in the fog light or what? Can you guys help me on this?
Same as the HID bulb for the headlight, a ballast is needed to have a stabil power and to ignite the xenon gas inside the bulb. But, please pay more attention to the bulb type. Most headlight use bulb type of H5 and H7 for dual headlight and H4 for singel headlight, also “t” mark behind the type for some dual headlight with special bulb lock. Meanwhile for foglight, the type is H1 or H3, it’s differented by it’s socket model. Make sure check it right or read on the owners manual book. For fog light, the 4K is still fine, even higher as long not use in snowy season and rainy day. On both condition, above 4K will harm other driver and make you blind by the color can’t penetrate the fog or rain, it’s block the light.
