Why does my Black and Decker Iron make a alarm buzzing sound?

I have a black and decker steam advantage iron and for some reason it just started this alarm sounding buzz after about 5 minutes of not using it.. It does have an auto shut off on it and I do have it turned to the off position.. I have had this iron for about a year and it just started to do this.

They have a sensor that monitors carbon monoxide. RUN !
