Different Materials Used for Camping Tents

Camping Tent’s Fabric
There are usually two kinds of materials used in the making of camping tents fabric- Rip stop nylon and polyester/cotton blend.
• Rip Stop Nylon – The most ideal characteristic of nylon is that it is very lightweight, provides good ventilation and is leak-proof in rains. It is woven in a rip stop style to enhance its durability. The clear film and mesh material in the doors and windows help in ventilation while keeping out the bugs and flies.
• Polyester/Cotton Blend – Polyester camp tents are no doubt cheaper, but they do not allow adequate air to pass through. Due to this reason, the camping tents made up of polyester/cotton blend are never suggested for camping in summer.
Camping Tent Poles
Aluminum, fiberglass and Carbon Fiber are typically used for preparing the poles of camping tents.
• Aluminum – It provides better quality poles of camping tents. The aluminum poles are strong but lightweight and durable in nature. They are more suitable for large camping tents.
• Fiberglass – The poles made of fiberglass are cheaper and flexible. On the other hand, they are less durable and weigh more as compared to the aluminum poles. These poles are more idyllic for small camping tents.
• Carbon Fiber – The carbon fiber poles are being used in expensive and technically skilled camping tents. This material has become popular in recent times. High flexibility and ultra durability are the most significant qualities of these poles.
